Transportation
Mayken™ is licensed with the Alberta Government as a Hazardous Waste Carrier to collect and transport dangerous goods for hazardous materials classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, & 9. This means we can be your preferred carrier for most, if not all, of your waste removal needs.
To ensure you and the environment are protected, all waste we handle is
- Transported under the proper waste manifest
- The receiver is properly licensed to accept the waste

Managing an Environmental Spill in Alberta
Hazardous waste and materials impose a threat to the environment when released or disposed of improperly. Alberta’s Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act requires that spills or releases of hazardous materials must be reported immediately to the proper authorities. When a spill does occur, there are a few steps to take to manage it and reduce the risk of adverse environmental effects. The first thing you’ll want to do is contain the spill quickly and safely. The next step is to contact the Alberta Government to report the spill to avoid fines or convictions.
